Brand: Pioneer

The Pioneer PC-1000 was a desktop computer released by the Pioneer Corporation in 1984. It ran on the MS-DOS operating system and utilized an Intel 8088 CPU clocked at 8 MHz, which was a significant upgrade from the Intel 8086 used in most other PC-compatible computers at the time. The PC-1000 also included 256 KB of RAM, a 20 MB hard drive, a 5.25-inch floppy drive, and a keyboard and monitor. It was positioned as an entry-level business computer and sold for around $3,000. The PC-1000 was notable for being one of the first MS-DOS computers to offer a built-in 13-inch color monitor as an optional feature, which was a significant step forward in terms of usability and aesthetic appeal. However, the PC-1000 did not achieve significant market share and was eventually discontinued in favor of higher-end models like the Pioneer PC-2000 and PC-3000.
