The AMC XIA150 is a Chinese amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) developed by the Aerospace Multiple Jet Propulsion Research Institute (AMC) under the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). It is a successor to the Chinese-built Type 07 amphibious armored vehicle, which has been in service since the late 1980s.The XIA150 is an improved version of its predecessor, featuring a more modern design and technology. It has a crew of 3 (commander, driver, and gunner) and can carry up to 9 infantry soldiers. The vehicle has an amphibious capability, allowing it to operate both on land and in shallow waters up to 3 meters deep.The XIA150 is armed with a 30mm autocannon and a coaxial machine gun, as well as a 7.62mm machine gun mounted on the roof. It is also equipped with smoke grenades and NBC protection for chemical warfare defense. The vehicle is powered by a 300 horsepower diesel engine, giving it a top speed of 70 km/h on land and a cruise speed of 6 km/h in the water.The XIA150 is manufactured by Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd., and has been adopted by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) as part of its modernization efforts.
